A popular approach to information management in the employment world is to simply have a candidate submit their information, inclusive of their work history and personal contact information, to the potential employer or recruiter. In more modern applications this has included use of a LinkedIn profile which includes most of the same information, but also allows prospective employers to see who you may already know in the space or at the company.
